BTW, congratulations to President Obama. He ran a pretty impressive campaign and even though there are many things I disagree with him on, it's a testament to the strength of our republic that there weren't tanks in the streets. Although, it would have been nice if they had kept some bridges open...

Eh, no tanks exactly, but there were lots of humvees, barricades and many many National Guard people on every goddamn corner. I appreciate the abundance of caution, but I don't really think there was much risk of a riot at 23rd and P St. That said, peaceful transition of power is a lovely thing to behold.
